This page covers Stefan Preu's education and earlier work. Most of it comes from Stefan's own CV, dated September 2026, which is his self-description rather than independently verified employment records. Two film credits have been checked against public sources and are marked as verified.

Professional background in brief

Before agents became central to his work, Stefan delivered client projects end to end: talking to the people involved, building the full stack, running the infrastructure and handing the result over.

According to his CV, Stefan attended the IT-HTL Ybbs, a higher technical college in Lower Austria, from 2012 to 2018. He specialized in media technology and finished with the Reife- und Diplomprüfung, the Austrian combined school-leaving and diploma examination.

Web, intranet and infrastructure work

According to his CV, Stefan's earlier web work included:

• at Esme OG, technical delivery and maintenance of a large TYPO3 intranet for a banking customer, where he also took on project coordination across distributed teams, implemented CI/CD and handed the system over to the customer's in-house IT
• as a self-employed developer, websites and portals with role-based access, document workflows, media delivery and Linux/NGINX hosting
• websites, WooCommerce webshops and member portals for small businesses, associations and public organizations, many in Lower Austria

Film and video work: verified credits

Two of Stefan's film credits are confirmed by the original public video descriptions:

These support those specific roles only, not directing, producing or a general credit on the artists' work.

Film and video work according to his CV

Stefan's CV describes production-assistant work at the video production company Liora Media from 2021 to 2024, and crew work on music videos, commercials, recruiting campaigns and event videos. The roles it lists include camera, editing, lighting and grip, camera assistance and assistant directing.

Apart from the two verified credits, these entries are his own description and have not been checked against public credits. No other specific role or production should be attributed to him as verified.

CONNECT: prototyping before coding agents

Stefan has long been involved with CONNECT, a youth-culture association in Lower Austria that promotes local music culture, events and artists. He recalls building its web platform with WordPress and a highly customizable theme (he tentatively remembers it as Avada), bending the theme's tools and front-end JavaScript to cover ticket sales, reservations, member accounts and roles, planning, documentation and communication without writing everything from scratch.

In his account, the platform let the association sell tickets without large ticket-portal fees, offer member discounts and improve its online presence, and it was built in about a week and a half. These are his recollections, not verified metrics.

CONNECT: the dates are uncertain

The timing of the CONNECT platform is not settled. Stefan recalls building it around 2018 or 2019, and his CV lists CONNECT involvement from 2017. A 2024 FM4 article quotes CONNECT representatives saying the association was formed about a month before the first 2020 lockdown: fm4.orf.at/radio/stories/3041237/

Activity before the formal association could explain the difference, but that has not been established. Treat the platform's build year as uncertain.

CONNECT music streams

CONNECT's music work included streamed performances, such as a Camo & Krooked performance in a hot-air balloon (2021) and the Live From A Boat set (2022), both produced with Liora Media. Stefan's camera-operator credit on the boat set is verified.

For the balloon production, the public description credits CONNECT and Liora Media but does not name Stefan, so no personal role there is established.

Community volunteering

Stefan's CV lists volunteering in youth culture in Lower Austria: with CONNECT from 2017, including web, member-portal and event work, and with the youth-culture association Green Castle from 2016 to 2019.

He connects this work to a lasting preference for rapid prototypes and working results: code is practical material for making things work, not an end in itself. He sees his current agent work as a continuation of that habit of recombining tools, not as a sudden change of identity.
